Anne Marie Jensen
- physiotherapist specializing in fertility
In 2007 I became aware that physiotherapy in many countries and cultures is used to effectively and gently treat sub- and infertility, I have since spent most of my working life on gathering knowledge and acquiring skills to perform fertility-promoting physiotherapy in Denmark.
In addition to being a physiotherapist, I am also trained in the following methods:
-
The Mojzisova method
-
Arvigo-Therapy
-
Mercier Therapy
-
The fertility massage
-
The Aviva method
-
various methods of treating scar tissue and pelvic/spinal cord injuries.
It is my experience that there is a clear connection between cycle pain, pain in the back, pelvis or hips, scar tissue, reduced mobility, asymmetries in posture, digestive problems, sedentary lifestyle, overweight, underweight, stress and fertility. I therefore recommend that you always prepare your body for a possible future pregnancy, by treating such physical and mental challenges, regardless of whether you are trying to become naturally pregnant or need medical medical treatment.
It is my specialty to help you to a healthier fertility.
Methods
Individual treatment
In Sundfertility, we offer individual treatment to both women and men who want to improve their success rate at their next IUI, IVF or ICSI attempt. But we are also happy to work with couples who want to try naturally. Approximately one-third of our patients succeed in becoming pregnant naturally within a year of starting treatment with us, and most of them succeed within just 3 months. If you combine your treatments with us with medical fertility treatment, the success rate is of course even higher.
In individual therapy, we always start with a conversation and an examination. We then put together a treatment plan that fits your wishes and needs.
We like to combine individual exercise instruction with manual therapy and/or laser therapy.
Prices:
First consultation 45 min/60 min: DKK 650/800
Normal consultation 45 min/60 min: DKK 650/790
Short consultation (laser therapy only): DKK 250
Laser self-service: 5 clips DKK 675 or DKK 990.
Laser therapy
Biostimulatory laser therapy for the treatment of impaired fertility is a form of therapy developed by the Japanese doctor, Dr. Ohshiro. With low dose laser light (LLLT = Low Level Laser Therapy) energy is transferred to the cells so that eggs, sperm, endometrial cells, immune cells, etc. can better perform their functions.
The laser therapy is given at such low doses that it is quite harmless, extremely comfortable but still effective. It is especially recommended for women over 35, men with reduced sperm quality and all women with PCOS, scar tissue and/or inflammation of the lower back, pelvis or abdomen.
We also have good experience with using laser therapy for women with endometriosis.
You can read more about research in laser therapy as fertility-promoting therapy here and in the book "Fertility & Physiotherapy":
Manual therapy
The manual therapy takes place just like the laser therapy on a massage table in an individual therapy room. We use the manual therapy to loosen adherent scar tissue, relax muscles and mobilize joints.
Manual therapy is especially recommended for both women and men with scar tissue after surgery, infections or trauma. Manual treatments may also be relevant if you have pain, tension and / or reduced mobility. We very much like to combine the manual therapy with exercise therapy and/or laser therapy.
